Wedding at the Ballroom at the Phoenix
Jumoke and Kerry are an awesome couple that had a two-part ceremony, one traditional Nigerian and one traditional Christian. Jumoke is a Nurse and Kerry is a sculptor, both are quirky and fun with Kerry being specifically goofy but he owns that happily.

Tell us about your wedding!
We wanted a simple affair but it ballooned into a multicultural affair. The traditional Yoruba engagement was the highlight of the day.

Let’s talk about wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception?
The decor was provided by the venue and the centerpieces were floral, provided by Belak Flowers. We picked out colors for the decor and added extra touches to make it personal.

What were the florals like at your wedding?
Since the colors were lilac and silver, we used spring flowers with those colors in all aspects of the wedding, even the cake.

What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?
Our favorite part of the wedding was the actual wedding ceremony.
Let’s talk about fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look?
Jumoke, went to sever bridal boutiques and tried on a plethora of dresses until she found the right fit. She wore a white sleeveless a-line ballgown with beading, Kerry had a vision for his look planned for a long time. He wore a dark gray suit with a lilac dress shirt and a paisley tie.
How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.
We both lead very busy lives so fate brought us to the same website. Kerry messaged first! Kerry proposed in Las Vegas in a lounge after a long day of fun.

What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?
The first kiss as husband and wife!
Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?
Make sure you take time to enjoy yourself, take lots of picture and eat breakfast- will be your first and only meal before its all over.
