Cindy Sanchez Lark, owner and planner of Detaille Weddings and Events, was inspired by the rich colors of the New England fall months for this wedding inspiration shoot. She wanted to create a design concept that showed the romance of a wedding celebration, particularly one at sunset, at the beautiful Chamard Vineyards that is located in Clinton, Connecticut. Cindy also wanted to focus on diversity, so she included a couple who comes from Jamaican roots. Our bride is biracial, and also comes from a Chinese background.
The goal was to highlight some of the fall foliage of Connecticut, especially in the romantic portraits of the bride and groom. Bold and vivid colors were incorporated into several design elements including the linens and florals. Aubergine linens and chair covers, paired with pops of coral and soft oranges in the flowers, made for just the right contrast against the grounds of the vineyard. Gold accents gave this inspiration shoot luxe vibe overall, while also including some fun wedding trends.
For portraits, we used various locations to showcase the beauty of this Connecticut vineyard. We started in the wine cellar, before moving onto the grounds among the grapevines. The vivid pinks and rust oranges of the bouquet popped well against the softer greens of the vines. As the sun was setting over the rows of grapevines, it illuminated the fall colors and trees of this little Connecticut coastal town.
The evening ended with more portraits of our couple near the outdoor reception space with the last bit of sunlight we had. The sun was showing off a soft pink hue that added just an extra touch of romance to an already spectacular day.
